Lena Schjelvan, RVT

Lena has worked in the veterinary field since 2000 and received her RVT license in 2009. She has worked the majority of her career in specialty medicine and has acquired a wide range of experience including Internal medicine, Oncology, Surgery, and ER/Critical Care. She has had the pleasure of leading many specialty departments and working with great teams of highly skilled doctors over the years. Her special interests are teaching and leadership, and she is very excited to have found her new home with Mohnacky Animal Hospital of Vista. Lena currently resides in North County with her two sons and her cat “Stella”.

Working with animals has always been my dream and I am so lucky to do what I love every day! My goal is to provide your pets with the best care during all stages of their life. I personally have two dogs, Bella and Meeko, and two cats, Bagheera and Morty.

Trust is a large part of the veterinary experience and I strive to be a trustworthy individual who will provide the best possible care.

I have worked in the veterinary field for the past 12 years but I have been an animal lover my entire life! I am presently pursuing licensure as a Registered Veterinary Technician- keeping pets healthy and happy is my goal.

I enjoy meeting all of our clients and their furbabies! I love providing them with the best care and I strive to make all of our clients feel like they are family.

Vanessa

I was born and raised in North Texas. I have loved animals my entire life and getting to work with them is a dream come true. I have 2 dogs of my own – a Dalmation named Pongo and Bubba the Great Dane. I love being able to provide exceptional care to you and your furbabies!

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Equine has been my passion since I could walk -but helping animals is my true calling – whether it’s fostering strays, pet sitting …I am happy to help our patients!

Animals have always been a passion of mine. When I am not at work, I am at the zoo or playing with my bunny “Stella”. I look forward to meeting all of your fur-babies!

I have worked in the veterinary industry over 20 years- I love helping owners and their furry loved ones by providing the best veterinary care for them. I enjoy answering client questions so that they understand everything that their pets need. My life is blessed and full of love – my two little boys, three dogs and four cats keep me busy! We keep active on the weekends and love a good outdoor adventure! I look forward to working with you all.

I was born and raised in the Bay Area. Once I graduated high school, I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and completed an honorable service of 4 years. During my time as an active duty Marine, I realized my true calling is working with animals! I’m so happy to have found MAH, because I get to do what I love every day!
